The Waves by Virginia Woolf resists linear narrative, unfolding instead through rhythm, repetition, and interior voices. Inspired by this structure, I created an artist’s book that translates the novel’s language into color. Each page presents a single color reference from the text, rendered as a monochrome surface and arranged in sequence. The result is an abstract visual narrative where time is felt through intensity rather than events—allowing Woolf’s rhythm to guide the flow, like waves across the page.
