The Tokyo Art Book Fair started in 2009 as the first book fair in Japan to specialize in art publications. Participants of this annual event includes independent publishers, galleries, bookstores as well as individual artists and artist groups. The fair has seen significant growth in its scale and content over the years, and the three-day event now brings together over 300 participants from Japan and abroad. Hembramala, brings to Japan publications by mexican publishing houses – backbonebooks, being one of them.
